 COPYRIGHT NOTICE:

Legacy patterns are derived from authentic antique stained glass window designs, dating from 1840 to 1920, which are now a part of the public domain. Photographs of the windows that were used as reference in the construction of patterns were used with permission of the photographer. When known the origin, date and original dimensions are recorded in the pattern notes area. It is however unfortunate that the names of the original craftsmen were left unrecorded.

COPYRIGHT LAW:

Current copyright law states that original works published prior to 1923 are in the public domain. Works as recent as the 30's or 40's may also be in the public domain if the copyrights have not been renewed. In any case, work resulting in reproductions of originals which are in the public domain, belong to whoever has created the reproductions. All Legacy Stained Glass Patterns were developed by Jan Williams and are owed by the Legacy Stained Glass Pattern Company.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER:

The purchase of patterns entitles the initial purchaser the right to construct any number of stained glass panels for his or her own use or as gifts. It does not entitle the purchaser to resell, give away or in anyway distribute the patterns in any manner whether for profit or not for profit. Panels constructed for commercial sales are restricted to one use per pattern, unless written consent is received directly from the pattern designer.

When stained glass panels are produced from Legacy Stained Glass Patterns, it is requested that the Legacy Stained Glass Pattern Company’s name and all of the recorded information is affixed to the piece along with the statement that the work is a reproduction. If modifications were made to the designs the word "modified" should also be included. In doing so you will be helping to keep an authentic account of stained glass design history.

Thank you for your interest in our historical stained glass patterns and your efforts to help us, keep the legacy alive.
